Here is another one of those take away shows, this time featuring Sufjan Stevens playing on the (presumably cold) roof of Cincinatti’s Memorial Hall, during the MusicNOW Fetival last month. The tune is a cover of “The Lakes of Canada” by The Innocent Mission, but it sounds remarkably similar to any Sufjan original. Stevens voice and banjo strummin sound unbelievalby crisp and clean, as if pulled from a studio recording, and not a windy rooftop.
I thought I might upload the original song which is just as beautiful as the cover. It’s off a ‘99 album called “Birds of my Neighborhood.”
